The final days of October were spent on many fun things... Halloweeny activities and my birthday!
On Friday/26th, my fab friend Katie invited some of the coolest homeschoolers she knows over for a party! She went above and beyond with the snacks and games!! My kids had much fun and were pretty much depressed to no end when it was time to go home. I was too! She makes a very pretty pregnant pirate, dontcha think?
Then it was time for a weekend full of Mommy Birthday Festivities! The boys picked out goodies for me at Bed Bath and Beyond, and Daddy guided them along a wishlist I gave him. Besides the coffee, utensils, candle (new Yankee scent - apple pumpkin - it is incredible!!!!!!!), and picture frame, they got me a Bread Co gift card AND sent me on a shopping trip with my friend Sarah. We also were able to go out to dinner and to the Fox to see Les Miserables. Wonderful weekend, indeed.
Saturday afternoon we met up with one of our friends from college, Anitra. She just started a photography business and came out to Saint Charles to do a session with us. Here are a few of our favorite pictures! If you are looking for a wonderful, friendly, reasonably-priced photographer, let me know and I'll get you her info!
MORE fun abounds! On Tuesday I helped in Joey's classroom's pumpkin party! The kids were so cute and it made for a full and busy morning.
And seeing as how it was October 30th and we still hadn't made it out to the pumpkin patch, we decided to go at 3:30 when Daddy got home from school. We trapsed around the nearly-empty play area, and while the boys wrapped up playing in the corn boxes, I snapped pictures of my beautiful girl in the glow of the setting sun.
And on Halloween, Mario and Luigi trick-or-treated on a few blocks and brought home all sorts of unnecessary calories for their mother to be tempted by.
And now we say hello to November!
