Recipe Time: Ravioli Bake

If you're always looking for an easy-to-throw-together dinner, you will want this recipe!  It's a pasta bake that uses frozen cheese ravioli (and there's no need to boil it ahead of time), pasta sauce, canned tomatoes, water, and cheese.  That's it!!

I guess you can call it a cheater form of lasagna, and boy is it yummy.  It's an almost-crowd-pleaser in this house... the only one who doesn't like it is Ben because he doesn't really care for ricotta cheese.

You'll need:
1 26 oz jar of pasta sauce
1 can of diced tomatoes (undrained)
1/2 c water
2 lb bag of frozen cheese ravioli
**We buy ours at Aldi and it's only about $2.50 there!
2 c mozzarella cheese
parmesan cheese

What to do:
Heat your oven to 400 degrees.  In a bowl, mix the pasta sauce, canned tomatoes, and water.
Spoon 1 cup of the sauce mix on the bottom of a 13x9 pan.
Evenly place 1/2 of ravioli over the sauce, and top with 1 cup of cheese.
Place the other 1/2 of ravioli over that and top with all the sauce.
Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and tightly cover with foil.

Bake 30 minutes, then uncovered for another 15 minutes.  Let stand about 10 minutes and sprinkle with parmesan before serving!

  1. Yum! I haven't made this in a long time, but I definitely think it is time to bring it back.
