Last Tuesday night, Ben finished the 4 week indoor t-ball class we signed him up with through our park district. It was an intro class teaching the very basics of playing ball. Ben had a BLAST playing and learning!
The last two sessions the kids got to play "real" games. There were no strikes/outs or score keeping; batters had hit the ball and run one base at a time, and fielders had to catch the ball and throw it to first base. Ben's coaches said that he did well batting in either direction, so we've got a lil switch hitter on our hands! He was a great fielder too. His eye was always on the ball. He caught a lot of quick moving grounders and with the form his coaches taught, threw perfectly to first base each time. Mom and Dad were both beaming. ;-)
We've got Ben signed up for the next session, and that will be a six week class starting May 15th. This one will be outside on a real ball field and we're all pretty darn excited!
